2025 Camp Rising Sun: Legacy Applications
Application requirements:
- You must be between 15 and 16 years old by the time camp starts.
- You must be available for two, three, or four weeks of whatever session you apply for. You must be able to join the session at the beginning. We may make exceptions in extraordinary cases, please reach out at programs@lajf.org to discuss.
- We prefer participants who can stay for the whole duration of the program, to ensure community cohesion.
Application process:
- Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The application form will remain open until we have filled the legacy seats we have available, we will then operate a waitlist.
- We will prioritize applicants who can commit to the whole program (four weeks).
- We recommend applying before February 1st.
Application materials:
You will have to submit the following materials by the application deadline for your region.
- A completed 2025 Legacy Camp Rising Sun application.

Campers of all gender identities are welcome and encouraged to apply to whichever session would be most comfortable for them to attend.
Instructions for Legacy Applications to CRS
- We will not evaluate your answers based on use of grammar, spelling or structure.
- You can write using bullet points.
- Please do not use AI (e.g. ChatGPT) to write your answers.
- We really want to get to know you through the application and are looking for authentic answers. It’s really hard to get a sense of applicants when answers are generic and/or AI generated, therefore your chances of being offered an interview will be lower if you use AI.
- You do not have to answer optional questions. If you do not, this will not count against you.
If you have accessibility questions about the fee associated with this program, please reach out to us. No fees are due until your child or grandchild has been accepted. Payment plans are available. Your contribution helps us give the gift of Camp Rising Sun to over 120 campers every summer.
